There is no lack of things to do in Busan, from visiting the popular beaches to the many local markets. Visitors will find a relaxed, coastal vibe here, and welcome the escape from the busy streets of Seoul.

Tips:
Visit during the off-seasonPrices sour during the peak summer season, and then again in October when people from around the world fly in for the International Film Festival. Try to plan your visit in autumn or spring, when you can enjoy beautiful weather, low prices, and seasonal festivals and events.
Take a taxiRarely would I recommend taxis as the primary mode of transportation, but Busan is the place for it. Taxis are cheap and the drivers are extremely friendly. Even if you don’t speak Korean, you’ll be able to get by with hand gestures and pointing to the name of your destination.
Bring cashSome of the best experiences in Busan involve shopping at the local markets or enjoying regional cuisine at a family-style restaurant. All of these places will only accept cash, so make sure to have enough handy.
